EVIL REVIEW OF THE KID DAYTONA'S "COME FLY WITH ME" EP

The Grown Man Daytona has just released his "Come Fly With Me" project and I'm shining the EVIL spotlight on it. Daytona's been buzzin around with a feature in Fader Mag and NYC radio burn, thanks to his affiliation with Cypha Sounds and Cypha's shady partner, Peter Rosenberg....

Here's an interview with Daytona speaking about his EVIL grind from the Round(square)Table, hosted by my EVIL mistress, Maya the B...

If you watched the clip, you may notice that his style of dress is a lil fugazzi. He deinitely comes off like a c-class benz driver and that scarf on his shoulder makes him look like a British undercover detective. But never mind that...I've been tuned into Daytona's work because his style and voice stand out and I'm curious if he will be able to make that style translate to success in the rap game. Here's a song that Daytona had bumpin on NY radio(thanks to Cypha, I'm sure)...

Now, let's get into "Come Fly With Me"...
Soooo, five songs in and I'm already a little weary of his style & voice, which he never changes. He doesn't switch his style until the 6th song on the album, "contact" feat. Kardinall Offishal, produced by 6th sense. That shit is fire...possibly the best song on the album, by radio standards.
The following song "Flava Season" is promising in the beginning but loses steam, due to the wack mix. It gains some ground back, for the last verse, when the music drops out & you get to hear for the 1st time on the project, how Daytona's delivery sounds live, which is his strength. His style is unique & doesn't always blend well with tracks, that are provided for him. Here's a clip of him rappity-rappin live...

The EVILest track is definitely "lately" produced by illbomb, featuring the completely unEVIL EVIL Amanda Diva. Somehow, this ended up being the hardest track on the whole project...
The other highlight of this album is "the minimum", produced by 6th sense(current object of industry tastemaker's affection), featuring some chic named Tiara Wiles.
That's one of the only joints worthy enough to roll out to in the EVIL whip.
The first feature on the album is none other than Harlem's Cash, an interesting character, slowly bubbling in the east coast rap scene. He arrives early on the album, dropping in on the 2nd track and obviously came prepared to get it in. He lands early on Daytona's flight and completely blows him away on his own track!! This guy came in the studio with a full clip & caught Daytona slippin on this one. That's bad 4 business to get slaughtered so early on your own album....sheeesh!!
That's not the only time on this project that Daytona gets bodied on his own track. Bun B makes an appearance on the last track, "Airborn" and slays Daytona, on the way out...it's gruesome.
Soooo, in conclusion...even though Daytona gets handed his own ass, throughout this project, he shows promise and could possibly be one of the most unique artists on the east coast right now. He just needs to master his own style and get some less snoozy production. I'll be watching.....EVIL!!

The latest victim of the EVIL rap game is Akon's artist, Roderick Anthony Burton II, professionally known as Dolla from Atlanta, Georgia. The 21 year old rapper was killed in a shooting, at the upscale Beverly Center shopping mall.

A man by the name of Aubrey Louis Berry was arrested for investigation of murder, police said Tuesday. Berry is 23 and also from Atlanta. He was apprehended while attempting to board a plane. According to the police, he was strapped with a 9mm.

No motive for the shooting has been determined. All that's being said ris that there was an argument by the valet stand between Dolla, who was with DJ Shabazz and Aubrey Berry, who was with another male and a female. Then shots were fired and Dolla was struck with multiple bullets, including one to the head. Berry and his associates then sped off in a silver benz.

You may have been wondering what prompted this sudden shift of direction...I know I have. There's some questions I have, such as:
*Did somebody sit Buckshot & Duckdown co-founder, Dru Ha down and explain to them, which direction the rap game was heading in?

*Did Dru Ha's inner cracka develop and mature over time and spark an epiphany within him, as he looked around the room at the barbaric, EVIL savages that he hangs around?

I'm not sure but I know I'm not alone in wishing that Bootcamp found a way to be successful, while keeping the EVIL turned up. I'm really not hyped on Team Facelift and I'm suspicious of their motives, in this EVIL rap game. They're managed by the same morons that manage the Retro Kids! What I find to be really strange, is the amount of time, that the lead rapper from Team Facelift, "the fat Jew", spends on twitter, talking about his tiny dick. I kid you not. He will be my 1st victim, on the next unfollow Friday. These guys are not EVIL, at all.
The elephant in the room, when it comes to Duck Down is the murder charges that one half of rap duo, Heltah Skeltah, Rock is facing, after recently being accused of gunning a man down in the EVIL streets of Brooklyn.

I first heard Dante's name on Third Bass's "The Gas Face" song...

Since then, his name has randomly popped up on my radar, from time to time...
Most recently, I saw him make an appearance on VH1's "the white rapper", as a guest judge. He judged the grand finale and helped deliver Atlanta based white rapper Shamrock $100,000, instead of delivering it to John Brown, who most thought deserved to win because of his lyricism. While on the show, Dante made the notoriously EVIL statement, "lyrics don't matter". Here's a clip from the final episode...

It's pretty obvious, that Dante is very sensitive about his shirt. After seeing the shirt, I can understand why...it's horrible!!! Dante, you've got a problem on your hands...too many "stan's" around you. Too many "yes men" on deck.

What I've always found interesting about Dante, is the fact that he was a white boy in the game, when they weren't as prominent as they are today. If you look at his discography, you'll realize that Dante has worked with numerous members of the 5% Nation of Islam, such as Wu-Tang and Brand Nubian. If you do your research, you'll realize that members of the 5% Nation, teach that the white man is the DEVIL. If you don't believe me, heres an excerpt from the F.A.Q section of their website:

This shit reminds me of the scam that got pulled on those NY/Philly battle rappers, a few moths of ago. Remember that "world series of hip hop" competition with Mysonne, E-Ness,Murder Mook, Lady Luck and all of those other victims?

They were supposed to be battling for $25,000 and later found out that they had been hustled by Furqaan Clover, the chairman of WSOHH. He charged hip hop fans to view the battles live and text in votes. EVIL fuckin crooks!!

The judges who will decide who wins the Million Dollar Grand Prizes include: DMC of Run DMC, Rakim of Eric B and Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Yo-Yo, Dougie Fresh, Roxanne Shante and Slick Rick. None of those judges actually showed up. SMH
